Overview
Apple’s iCloud Private Relay is a privacy feature that hides your real IP address and encrypts your internet traffic. While this is great for privacy, it can sometimes prevent apps, like Beyond Identity, from verifying that your device meets security requirements during login.
When Private Relay is on, your login request appears to come from an anonymous Apple relay instead of your device, which can cause sign-in issues.
What You Can Do
If you’re unable to log in to Beyond Identity on your Mac, iPhone, or iPad:
Go to Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Private Relay.
Toggle Private Relay off.
Try signing in again with Beyond Identity.
Once you’re signed in, you can turn Private Relay back on if you prefer.
Is It Safe to Turn It Off?
Yes. Disabling iCloud Private Relay only affects how your IP address is masked, it does not disable encryption, your VPN, or other privacy settings. Turning it off temporarily allows Beyond Identity to securely verify your device identity and complete the login process.
