Overview
The Android Autofill service allows applications to securely inject or retrieve authentication data from other app views. Beyond Identity uses this capability to access authentication URLs from restrictive third-party application views that do not allow direct interaction with standard login flows.
Enabling the Beyond Identity Platform Authenticator as the Autofill service allows authentication to proceed in applications that embed protected web views, including those affected by Android 14 cross-profile restrictions. When selected as the active Autofill service, the Authenticator can extract required authentication context and complete login flows that would otherwise fail.
Because Android allows only one Autofill service to be active at a time, enabling Beyond Identity replaces any existing Autofill provider (such as password managers). Additionally, due to Android 14 system restrictions, Autofill settings for Work Profile apps must be configured manually through system settings.
